At n-compass, we regularly celebrate the good work we do with the people we support, but we aren’t always so forthcoming in shouting about great things we do for our people, our n-compass heros So, I am going to take this opportunity to do just that!

In our first year using Great Places to Work for our annual employee engagement survey, I was delighted to find out we have been recognised as one of the Best Workplaces for Women 2024.

I was delighted, but if I am really honest, not surprised, because I know what a great employer we are, for women and for men.

At n-compass, we don’t do anything revolutionary; we don’t have unique perks or benefits, unusual policies or practices, we provide what people come to work for, but we do it whole-heartedly and we do it well!

  • We employ great People, women and men, who create great teams.  We work hard to achieve results and take regular time out for non-work events and team building, vital to maintain our culture.
  • We invest heavily in Employee Well-being, annual well-being objectives, and health cash plan scheme, enhanced paid leave and well-being training and resources as part of induction.
  • We want our n-compass heros to enjoy true Work-Life Balance, and as many employers encourage or enforce teams to ‘return to the office’, we concentrate our efforts of making a success of Hybrid-Working and Flexible Working.
  • We invest in a blended approach to Professional Development to suit all learning styles and needs, we Celebrate Success through monthly recognition awards and always look to promote from within.
  • As a Real Living Wage Employer, we constantly review our reward & benefits package to ensure we are a Fair Paying Employer, whilst maintaining financial stability, which is vital for us all to feel Secure in our roles.
  • We lead the organisation with Honesty, Integrity and Transparency, we take time to listen and encourage everyone to bring their whole self to work.
  • Our USP at n-compass is that we don’t just say ‘we value our people’, we genuinely live and breathe that ethos.

In short, I am proud to be part of an organisation where people flourish, women support women, men support women and women support men.
