I am Head of Corporate Engagement for the Northern Health Science Alliance (NHSA), an alliance of leading research universities, NHS teaching trusts and Academic Health Science Networks across the North of England. The NHSA is a driver for investment into the sector, bringing together research collaborations and advocating for the North’s health system in Government.
I have a background in health research and research management, and bring an understanding of the development and funding of health partnership working across disciplines and sectors.
I have a particular interest in successful public/private sector collaboration, bid development, evaluation, digital health and health innovation. Previously I managed the Lancaster Health Hub, a strategic partnership between Lancaster University and the NHS, and prior to this I held a range of research and management roles within the NHS in the Midlands and Lancashire. I am originally from South Africa, where I worked as a Social Anthropologist at the Medical Research Council in Cape Town before moving to the UK.
